Lagan Acquires Leading Human Services Software Vendor, Peter Martin Associates from Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS)

ROCKVILLE, Md.--()--May 30, 2006--

Consolidation of products to result in ground-breaking, off-the-shelf Human Services management solutions for state and local governments

Lagan, a provider of solutions dedicated to streamlining the delivery of public services to constituents, today announced it has acquired Peter Martin Associates (PMA), a leader in the development of human services software since 1988.

Peter Martin Associates was the first to offer commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) collaborative case management and eligibility screening solutions specifically tailored to the needs of human services agencies. PMA's software portfolio includes HelpWorks, which provides eligibility screening, information and referral and online benefit applications, and FACTORS, a collaborative case management solution that supports individual and family service tracking and long-term client outcome management.

"PMA has a long, outstanding history of innovation in providing targeted, off-the-shelf solutions to support the work of human services agencies," said Des Speed, president and CEO at Lagan. "By incorporating the functionality offered in the PMA product suite and enabling it with Java technology, we will be able to provide social service agencies with a dynamic, scalable, next-generation enterprise solution that will greatly enhance agencies' abilities to meet growing demands with shrinking budgets, while improving the client experience with multi-channel access and greater coordination in client care."

A leader in multi-channel contact solutions and service management for government, Lagan's Frontlink software offers an open, java-based architecture designed to easily integrate with mainframe and legacy systems, data warehouses, or other back-office systems. Integration with common front-office applications for accounting, scheduling, reporting and e-mail are achieved seamlessly. Frontlink allows state and local government agencies to communicate directly with citizens, through a variety of communications channels - telephone, e-mail, face-to-face, by fax or SMS and is a naturally multi-lingual solution. The Frontlink solution has been deployed by more than 130 government organizations.

"Lagan has a reputation as the undisputed leader in public sector contact and service delivery management, with technology that is exclusively developed for the work of government agencies. The Lagan solution model can be easily extended to human services," said Ed Hamlin, Founder and CEO of Peter Martin Associates. "By combining our capabilities with theirs, we are creating an outstanding solution that expressly meets the evolving technology requirements of human services providers. As the market for modern, multi-channel human services solutions takes shape, we will be ready with a solution that adds value at every level of the human services organization and client lifecycle."
