When run in conjunction with McAfee VirusScan, Symantec AntiVirus, or Trend Micro OfficeScan, MOVEit Central will take the following steps when one of these programs detects a virus in a file that MOVEit Central is handling.
-- Stop the transfer.
-- Delete the file on the system it was downloaded from, or never transfer the file again.
-- Log details about the file, virus, AV software, and what MOVEit Central did about the file.
-- Alert appropriate parties via email. MOVEit Central also supports some of these same capabilities when run with other real-time virus detection products.
About MOVEit Central. First released in 2002, this enterprise solution by Standard Networks uses easy- to-create tasks (no programming required) to automatically pull, process, and push files on a scheduled, event-driven, or on-demand basis between a wide variety of internal and external systems, including MOVEit DMZ secure file transfer servers. MOVEit Central runs, monitors and logs multiple tasks simultaneously, and each task can use one or more of Central's secure and non-secure transfer methods to move files between multiple source and destination systems. Tasks can also automatically process files using numerous built-in functions (including a comprehensive, commercially licensed OpenPGP encryption option) as well as with sample and custom VBS scripts.
About Standard Networks. Founded in 1989, privately-held Standard Networks is currently in its eighteenth year of professional and financial success, developing and supporting enterprise-level managed file transfer and processing software for its steadily expanding circle of licensees in the Americas, Australia and Europe.
