2006 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge Discovers Treasure at CTIA

BOCA RATON, Fla.--()--April 13, 2006--LOC-AID Technologies Inc., a leader in location-based services (LBS) and innovator of end-to-end location aggregation, is proud to announce that its application, LOC-AID Treasure, has won the Entertainment and Leisure category of the 2006 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge(TM). A tribute to ongoing innovation in LBS, this award marks the second time in as many years that a LOC-AID application has garnered the gold.

"LOC-AID Technologies is pleased to be recognized for our innovative and creative use of location", said David Allen, vice president of marketing for LOC-AID Technologies. "We see LOC-AID Treasure as an attractive and accessible way to incorporate location into mobile games and entertainment, and it is a powerful platform for location-enabled mobile marketing. Location provides the context that makes games and marketing campaigns interactive and fun for players; this means people keep playing, which is a key success criteria for brand awareness."

LOC-AID Treasure's standing in the Entertainment and Leisure category of the Challenge creates a winning streak begun last year by LOC-AID People, which won the Peer-to-Peer/Find-me category. LOC-AID continues to demonstrate leadership in the LBS market with innovative features and functions, delivered through a broad suite of LBS applications and its fully integrated location aggregation gateway, LOC-AID Xchange.

LOC-AID also recognizes NAVTEQ as a leader within the LBS industry, "Our association with NAVTEQ and the Global LBS Challenge has been extremely fruitful for LOC-AID Technologies", Mr. Allen notes. "NAVTEQ has brought commitment and vision to the LBS community by sponsoring this event, which brings a breadth of industry visibility and offers a showcase for LBS providers. LOC-AID Technologies is thrilled at the recognition of both Loc-Aid People and Loc-Aid Treasure by a broad representation of our wireless community."

LOC-AID Technologies is grateful to the judges from around the industry who contributed to the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge this year. Thank you to these industry leaders for reviewing the submissions and selecting the winners; this effort provides immeasurable value to all Challenge participants.
