EVB Debuts Website for Reintroduction of Wrigley's Hubba Bubba Max Brand Bubble Gum

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Oct. 18, 2004--Interactive advertising agency EVB, Inc. announced today the debut of the new website for Wrigley's Hubba Bubba(R) Max brand bubble gum. The site, which launched earlier this month, is an extension of the advertising campaign created by BBDO Chicago and is designed to leverage offline components to help build awareness of the recently introduced Hubba Bubba Max bubble gum.

The new Hubba Bubba Max website (www.hubbabubbamax.com) features a similar irreverent tone and imaginative creative utilized in the brand's print and broadcast campaigns. Centered around the idea that Hubba Bubba Max is your accomplice in cheeky fun, visitors to the site can participate in a variety of mischievous and humorous activities targeted toward the brand's 10 to 14-year-old core demographic. For example, users can prank their friends with a custom keyboard by creating and sending comical messages. Or, pranksters can gain inspiration from online prank cards, offering silly suggestions on how to play funny pranks on your friends -- and make it up to them by offering them a piece of Hubba Bubba Max bubble gum.

A favorite of kids throughout the 1980s, Hubba Bubba chunk bubble gum has returned to store shelves better than ever with Hubba Bubba Max. The integrated marketing campaign includes television, print and Internet advertising, marking the first major advertising push for the Hubba Bubba brand since its original launch. The website creative showcases the animated claymation characters featured in the Hubba Bubba Max advertising campaign, created by the Academy Award-winning Aardman Animations Ltd., creators of such stop-motion animation classics as Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run. In addition, the online campaign is aligned with Wrigley's widespread sampling and marketing efforts for the Hubba Bubba Max brand.

"The Hubba Bubba Max website was an exciting opportunity to help reintroduce a classic brand to an entirely new audience," said EVB Account Supervisor Justin Acuff. "The campaign's unique creative elements and bold tone are sure to resonate with the brand's youthful, web-savvy core demographic."
