Motorcycle Legend, 'Kaptain' Robbie Knievel Signed for Jump at Nooksack River Casino; Performance Set for Aug. 14

DEMING, Wash.--()--May 14, 2004--The Nooksack Indian Tribe and its Nooksack River Casino today announced that motorcycle daredevil "Kaptain" Robbie Knievel will return to Washington after a 9-year absence to jump his motorcycle on Saturday, August 14 at the Nooksack River Casino in Deming, WA.

Robbie Knievel, the son of Evel Knievel, has completed more than 250 jumps in 33 years of daredevil riding. "The Kaptain" is best known for his live television performances including the Building-to-Building Jump in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon Jump, and has thrilled millions of fans around the world.

"We are excited to bring this motorcycle legend for the first time to our region," said Nooksack Tribal Chairman Narz Cunanan. "He is an icon as well as a great performer."

"This jump is poised to be just as exciting as some of his biggest performances," said Mike Wootan, General Manager of the Nooksack River Casino. "The jump will be part of a day-long event. Similar jumps by Knievel have drawn more than 10,000 fans.

The general public can view this event at no charge. However, tickets will be available for bleacher and VIP seating.
