Data-Basics Enhances Service Capabilities for Customers with SAM Pro.net's New Web Client Interface; Engineering Excellence First Client to Implement Enhanced Web Tool

CLEVELAND--()--Nov. 6, 2003--Giving customers extended capabilities to exchange service information with their clients in real-time, Data-Basics Inc. announced a new Web Client Interface component of SAM Pro.net, which offers tools for both customer relationship management (CRM) and mobile workforce use.

Data-Basics, a leading provider of Internet-based enterprise applications for the service and facilities management industries, also announced its client Engineering Excellence has successfully completed the first Web Client Interface tool implementation with customers such as Borders Books and Waldenbooks Company.

"The Web Client Interface gives service-related companies an edge, as their customers can go to their Web site and instantly access up-to-date information on work orders, approve quotes and review reports," said Arthur Divell, CEO, Data-Basics. "They're able to offer customers a higher comfort level because the customers are in control of their own service activities."

Engineering Excellence Launches "Intellitrak(TM)"

Engineering Excellence Inc., a HVAC and facilities management contractor based in Cincinnati, Ohio, recently implemented the Web Client Interface. As Data-Basics designed the tool to match its customers' individual look and feel, Engineering Excellence branded its Web Client Interface as "Intellitrak".

Engineering Excellence has the ability to assign different viewing rights to clients based on specific user names and passwords. Also, customers of Engineering Excellence can view all open tickets, which allows them to check on all service requests and pending repairs.

"Having the Web access capability was part of our original goal to streamline our operations and allow our customers to make requests and update jobs seamlessly," said Rick Evans, general manager - national accounts, Engineering Excellence. "Before implementing Intellitrack, we laid the groundwork for a solid system with Data-Basics' flagship SAM Pro Enterprise solution."

SAM Pro.net

Data-Basics' Web Client Interface is part of the SAM Pro.net suite. By integrating Web site, fax, pager, cell phone, and wireless device technologies into its e-ware products, Data-Basics allows companies to operate more efficiently by reducing overhead costs and improving customer satisfaction.

In addition to the Web Client Interface, SAM Pro.net includes Wireless Tech, Remote Timesheet, and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) modules.
