Under the agreement, ARI hosts EMPARTweb and provides an interface to Ariens' Parts Radar service. Using EMPARTweb, consumers, dealers and Ariens' help desk will have access to both the Ariens and Gravely electronic parts catalogs from the Ariens and Gravely websites. ARI and Ariens worked together to complete the implementation of the new service for introduction at Ariens' Dealer Meeting on September 13.
"Incorporating ARI's EMPARTweb into our Parts Radar service was a good fit for Ariens," said Dan Ariens, president of Ariens Company. "Our dealers have been using PartSmart(TM), ARI's CD-based electronic parts catalog, for years. We expect that our expanded partnership with ARI to provide a web-based catalog will allow us to reach a much higher percentage of our dealers," added Ariens. "Just as our dealers have benefited from having access to up-to-date parts information for Ariens and Gravely, we are confident that our help desk will be able to become more efficient, cut costs and increase customer satisfaction by using PartSmart and/or EMPARTweb to support our dealers and consumers," said Ariens.
In addition, consumers will now be able to look up the parts information they need, create a list of needed parts and then fax or take the order to an authorized Ariens/Gravely dealer.
According to Brad Gegare, marketing manager for Ariens Company, dealer reaction to the availability of the Ariens parts catalog on Parts Radar was very positive. "Based on the positive response we heard from dealers when we introduced Parts Radar at our Dealer Show, we expect dealers to begin taking advantage of this new service very quickly," said Gegare. "ARI's implementation, development and data conversion teams partnered with us every step of the way to ensure that we were up and running by our Dealer Show."
"Ariens' selection of EMPARTweb as the foundation for Parts Radar demonstrates their commitment to provide cutting edge business solutions," said Brian E. Dearing, chairman and chief executive officer of ARI. "We look forward to working with Ariens to provide all of their customers -- dealers, internal help desk staff and consumers -- access to the information they need to succeed and to safely use Ariens products," added Dearing. Dearing indicated that ARI's integrated family of catalog-enabled solutions has been designed to meet the needs of the entire service and distribution channel -- manufacturers, distributors, dealers and consumers.
