|Quality, Customer Service, and Technology Innovation Push PlayNetwork Up The Charts|
PlayNetwork Inc., a premier provider of business entertainment experiences, announced today that it ranked #104 on Inc. Magazine's 22nd annual list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the country. The Inc. 500 Special Issue will appear on newsstands October 14 and will be on display through January 2004.
To be eligible for this year's Inc. 500, companies had to be independent and privately held through their fiscal year 2002, have had at least $200,000 in sales in the base year of 1998, and their 2002 sales had to exceed 2001 sales. Over that five-year period, PlayNetwork's revenues rose from $594,000 to $9,308,000 for an increase of 1,466%.
"PlayNetwork's success reaffirms the core principles that our entire team of dedicated and talented professionals have adhered to over the years - a commitment to quality, exceptional customer service, and continual technology innovation. These qualities have resonated with many premium brand customers who have, in turn, entrusted us with their creative entertainment needs and driven our exciting growth," said Adam Brotman, PlayNetwork's President and CEO.
PlayNetwork's growth has been fueled by premium brand customers including Starbucks Coffee Company, Finish Line, Brinker International, Krispy Kreme, Abercrombie and Fitch, and Chico's. They have turned to PlayNetwork for its end-to-end creative solutions for custom branded music, messaging, digital media networks, and quality audio/video system design and installation services.
"The entrepreneurs you'll find on the Inc. 500 have the type of attitude we need to get this economy moving again," said Inc. editor-in-chief John Koten. "For them, a tough market is not an excuse for poor performance, but an opportunity to innovate and rise above the competition."
As one of 15 companies included from Washington State, PlayNetwork ranked #3 in the state. California led all states with 59 Inc. 500 companies, followed by Texas with 36.
Inc. 500 verifies all information using tax forms and financial statements from certified public accountants and by conducting interviews with company officials. Current industry powerhouses to make past Inc. 500 lists include Microsoft, Morningstar, E*Trade, Intuit, Domino's Pizza and Oracle.
