CRM Magazine Inducts Thomas M. Siebel into CRM Hall of Fame

NEW YORK--()--Aug. 27, 2003--Siebel Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SEBL) today announced that CRM Magazine has inducted Tom Siebel into its inaugural CRM Hall of Fame. CRM Magazine recognized Mr. Siebel as a pioneer in the industry for his vision, strong leadership, and enduring commitment to innovation. CRM Magazine presented Siebel Systems with the award at DCI's Customer Relationship Management Conference & Exposition this week in New York.

CRM Magazine created the CRM Hall of Fame to recognize the efforts of executives who have dedicated a significant portion of their careers to the industry and who have helped create broad awareness for CRM. The award is part of CRM Magazine's 2003 CRM Leader Awards recognizing superior performance in three areas: ROI excellence in customer companies, individual achievement, and vendor leadership.

"When evaluating the candidates for the Hall of Fame, we examined not only business acumen but also candidates' thought leadership and innovation--the qualities that we believe make for great visionaries," said Ginger Conlon, editor-in-chief, CRM Magazine. "Tom Siebel has not only created a market-leading company, but has driven forward the vision of CRM, making him a natural choice among the first three inductees into the CRM Hall of Fame."

CRM Magazine joins a host of prestigious organizations that have recognized Mr. Siebel's successful management of the company through periods of tremendous growth, his focus on building a company with lasting values, and the Siebel corporate culture's unwavering focus on customer satisfaction. These achievements have translated into real shareholder benefits--Siebel Systems' stock has returned nearly 830 percent to its public shareholders since the company's IPO in 1996, generating $4.87 billion in market capitalization. In its tenth year, Siebel Systems is among the largest enterprise applications software companies in the world.

The CRM Magazine award supplements a long list of recognitions that Mr. Siebel and Siebel Systems have received since 1997:
