Pop Superstar Aaron Carter Named Celebrity Co-Grand Marshal of Krewe of Endymion 37th Annual Mardi Gras Parade

NEW ORLEANS--()--Pop Superstar Aaron Carter has been named a celebrity co-Grand Marshal of this year's extravagant KREWE OF ENDYMION 37th ANNUAL MARDI GRAS parade.

The Krewe will be traveling on the traditional St. Charles Avenue route this Saturday afternoon, March 1, beginning at 4 p.m. and winding its way through the streets of New Orleans, ending up in the Louisiana Superdome at 8:30 p.m. There, Aaron Carter and the Carter family will be greeted by 15,000 formally attired revelers, who will be entertained by Kool and the Gang, Creedence Clearwater Revisited and others.

Aaron, 15, and younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, has sold over 10 million copies of his own records -- worldwide. He will be taking a 48-hour break from the shooting of his first feature film, CAMP SUMMERSTAGE, set for a fall 2003 release, to participate in this, his first Mardi Gras. Joining him on the float will be his twin sister, fashion model Angel Carter, followed by the Carter family in their tour bus.
