TAINAN,Taiwan--()--The 2024 Tainan Cocktail Festival wrapped up on October 27 at The Spring after two exciting days filled with gourmet food and creative cocktails. With over 40,000 people attending, Taiwan’s top chefs and mixologists treated visitors to exceptional dishes and unique drinks, making it Tainan’s most high-profile international culinary event of the year.

Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che remarked that Tainan brims with endless charm, offering abundant sightseeing options and a wide range of performances and exhibitions. This year, the festival featured 40 unique food stalls and 200 creative cocktails, including those made with local ingredients. These offerings not only delivered rich and layered flavors but also celebrated the distinct tastes of local culture, making them both popular and unforgettable.

A major highlight of this year’s event was the newly introduced mixology showdown, which featured top mixologists from across Taiwan, divided into red and white teams, displaying their creativity in cocktail making. From classic drinks to inventive new concoctions, each creation earned enthusiastic applause. This showdown not only showcased the craftsmanship passed down through generations in the world of mixology but also highlighted the creative spark of a new generation of bartenders, making it a focal point of the event.

The Bureau of Tourism of Tainan City Government noted that Tainan hosts numerous international events annually, attracting both international and domestic tourists to experience the city’s distinctive blend of historic charm and modern appeal.
