Scottrade's New Campaign Emphasizes Calm Clarity to Investors in Frenetic Market

"I'm with Scottrade" campaign highlights the wide variety of resources available to investors

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE) --Oct. 10, 2011-- Leveraging its recognizable $7 online stock trades1, Scottrade, Inc., announced today a new branding approach and advertising campaign: "I'm with Scottrade." The print, TV and online advertising, which explain that "$7 trades are just the start," gives the online investing firm the opportunity to discuss the myriad of trading tools and diverse investment products available to independent investors at Scottrade.

With this new creative direction Scottrade showcases how investors and traders utilize the firm's resources to manage their own finances. The creative concept quotes independent investors saying why they are with Scottrade.

"Over the past 31 years, Scottrade has evolved to offer our clients a thoughtful network of support," said Rodger Riney, founder and chief executive officer of Scottrade. "Throughout our history, we have always remained true to ourselves and kept the independent client's needs at the forefront of every decision. If it helps our clients overcome barriers to achieve their goal of financial success, we'll look to do it."

This year, Scottrade expanded its product and trading tool offering to include: no-fee online banking services; a free, comprehensive mobile trading application; and 15 commission-free2 FocusTM Morningstar exchange-traded funds. Scottrade's client-focused approach to developing new products that investors and traders need is made possible through the collaboration of product development, client research, usability testing and marketing communications.

"This campaign sets us apart from the competition," said Kim Wells, Scottrade's executive director of product development and chief marketing officer. "At Scottrade, we are building relationships with our clients that extend beyond today's trade. Our clients tell us how much pride and joy they have around investing. With this campaign, we'll show them how much pride and joy we have in supporting them in their goals."

To support investors and traders in overcoming barriers to financial success, Scottrade operates two Facebook pages, three Twitter accounts, a YouTube channel, a Flickr page and 505 branch offices nationwide – the largest network among online brokerage firms. The firm also hosts an online trading community and a comprehensive Knowledge Center.

The commercials and digital elements of the campaign were created by Scottrade in conjunction with St. Louis-based Cannonball Advertising and Promotion.
