Pacer Announces New Unified Brand and Unified Approach to the Marketplace
CONCORD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacer International (NASDAQ: PACR), a leading North American transportation and logistics provider, unveiled at the CSCMP Global Conference in Denver, Colorado on October 5, its new brand initiative that will more effectively communicate the company’s service capabilities and unified approach to the marketplace.
The focus of this initiative is to unify Pacer’s full scope of services and operations under a single master brand. The new logo design reaches into the company’s past but presents a fresh and modern look. The company has also adopted the new tag line “Making Your World Run Smoother” which speaks to its commitment to deliver on its promises to customers and its history of innovation in the intermodal industry.
Pacer is the product of more than ten transportation and logistics company acquisitions that has evolved into one of the premier intermodal and logistics companies in North America. The company has been making investments and improvements over the last year that has resulted in the expansion of both its intermodal services network and its truck brokerage services. Pacer is also expanding its in-house drayage operations to support its expanded intermodal network and door-to-door product offerings.
The company is also currently in a phased implementation of a single IT system provided by SAP, which will simplify business processes across organizational functions and improve responsiveness to customer needs. This new platform includes a new single web portal designed to provide a better understanding of the company’s portfolio of services, improved visibility to client shipments, and easy access to shipment data. This IT implementation will allow the company to increase its focus on satisfying customers by delivering strategic, value-enhancing services, and take advantage of emerging opportunities in the marketplace.
