Pacer International’s Kent Prokop Named to NITL and Harbor
Transportation Club Boards of Directors

CONCORD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ:PACR), a leading North American logistics and freight transportation provider, announced that Kent E. Prokop, president of Pacer Distribution Services, Inc. has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Industrial Transportation League (NITL) and to the Board of Directors of the Harbor Transportation Club in Southern California.

Prokop is serving as a director-at-large on the NITL Board, effective March 1, 2008 for a one-year term. He was named to the position by NITL chairman Curt Warfel. NITL has approximately 700 separate company members and is one of the oldest and largest associations in the U.S. representing freight transportation professionals.

Prokop was appointed to a one-year director-at-large position with the Harbor Transportation Club by chairman David Tremblay. The organization was formed in 1939, and continues to develop cooperation, understanding and coordination among the shippers, carriers and the various trade and transportation organizations in the Long Beach/Los Angeles Harbor area.

A long-time veteran of the freight logistics and transportation industry, Prokop has been president of Pacer Distribution Services since April 2004. The company is based in South Gate, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. Prior to his current position Mr. Prokop had served as vice president of Pacer Cartage since 1999. From 1996-99, he was general manager of Interstate Consolidation, Inc., a Pacer predecessor company. Prior to joining Interstate and Pacer, Prokop served in key marketing and operations posts for both ABF and Roadway Express. He holds a B.S. degree from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee.
