Pacer International Appoints New President of Pacer Transport, Inc.
CONCORD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ:PACR), the non-asset based North America third-party logistics and freight transportation provider, announced today the appointment of J. Michael Driggers as president of Pacer Transport, Inc. Based in DeSoto, Texas, Pacer Transport provides highway transportation services through an extensive network of small fleet operators and freight agents strategically located across North America.
In his new role, reporting to Jeffrey R. Brashares, chief operating officer of Pacer’s Logistics Segment, Mr. Driggers will provide the strategic direction for profitable growth of Pacer Transport’s highway services, which include flatbed, company van, and agent operations.
Mr. Driggers brings a broad range of trucking industry experience to his new role at Pacer Transport. Since 1998, he has been president of Lane Freight, Inc., a regional, dry van, and truckload carrier based in Houston, Texas. Lane Freight is a subsidiary of LinkAmerica Corporation, an integrated network of locally-operated transportation companies providing personalized service to shippers nationwide. From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Driggers also served LinkAmerica as president, during which time he directed the company’s various truckload subsidiaries prior to returning to Lane Freight. Previous to this position, he had various responsibilities at Arnold Transportation Services, Inc., specialists in truckload transportation and dedicated contract carriage, and Burlington Motor Carriers, Inc., a Daleville, Indiana-based truckload carrier.
