Pacer International Consolidates Leadership of Key Corporate Functions
CONCORD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacer International, Inc. (Nasdaq:PACR), the North American third-party logistics and freight transportation provider, announced today the promotion of Adriene Bailey to executive vice president, Strategy and Organizational Development. Reporting to Michael Uremovich, Pacer’s chairman and chief executive officer, Ms. Bailey will lead the company’s newly consolidated functions of Human Resources, Corporate Marketing, and Organizational Development.
Pacer’s newest executive appointment is part of the company’s ongoing organizational restructuring strategy designed to streamline operations, improve internal efficiency and effectiveness, and increase product integration capabilities across business units.

Since joining the company in 2000 as vice president of Planning, Ms. Bailey has held several executive management positions with the company’s wholesale rail intermodal operation, Pacer Stacktrain. Most recently, she reported to the chairman as the leader of the company’s newly formed Development Team focused on cost efficiencies and organizational effectiveness across Pacer International. In addition, she has led a number of key functions at Pacer, including Equipment and Logistics, Transportation Purchasing, Business Development and Product Development.
Ms. Bailey’s transportation industry experience spans more than 20 years with well-established organizations in the rail, intermodal and management consulting sectors. Her previous positions include assistant vice president for Service Planning and Operations Research for CSX Transportation, vice president of Service Planning and Design for Southern Pacific Railroad, and consultant for Mercer Management Consulting and its predecessor firm, Temple, Barker & Sloane.
She earned a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Princeton University.
