Industry Leader Jeffrey Brashares Joins TIA's Board of Directors as Intermodal Conference Chairman

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 2006--The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) has appointed Jeffrey Brashares to its Board of Directors as Intermodal Conference chairman. Brashares is vice chairman, Commercial Sales, at Pacer International, Inc., (NASDAQ:PACR) a leading North America logistics and freight transportation provider.

Brashares succeeds Robert Dinardo of Fort Pitt Consolidators, Inc., as TIA's Intermodal Conference Chairman. This conference offers transportation intermediaries the opportunity to learn and share knowledge with their peers within the intermodal segment of the industry; to develop policy recommendations; and to address specific intermodal concerns and opportunities. The group traditionally meets during TIA's annual Convention and Trade Show, to be held this year from April 6 - 8, 2006 in Tucson, Arizona.

With a long career in rail and intermodal transportation, Brashares is uniquely qualified to serve as chairman of TIA's Intermodal Conference. His career began as a chief clerk for the Erie Lackawanna Railway. In 1984, he became a partner in Rail Van, Inc., an Ohio-based intermodal transportation company that in 2000 became part of Pacer.

Robert Voltmann, TIA President and CEO, said, "Jeffrey Brashares has been a long time active and supportive member of TIA. We are looking forward to his participation on the TIA Board of Directors and to his leadership of the Intermodal Conference."
