Pacer International Named to Forbes List of

Best Big Companies in America for 2007

-- Intermodal and Logistics Provider Listed for 3rd Consecutive Year --

CONCORD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacer International, Inc. (Nasdaq:PACR), the North America logistics and intermodal freight transportation provider, has been named for the third consecutive year to the Forbes Platinum 400 list, known as the "Best Big Companies in America."

Pacer was among the 17 companies selected from the transportation sector and showed a five-year total return of 15.6 percent. With gross revenues in 2005 of $1.86 billion, the company accounts for 20 percent of all domestic intermodal container moves in North America, and is also the largest single provider of intermodal container services between the U.S. and Mexico.

To compile the list, Forbes said it screened more than 1,000 publicly traded companies with $1 billion or more in revenues in 26 industries. The magazine was looking for high rankings in corporate governance as well as long- and short-term sales and earnings growth and stock market performance. The top 400 companies made the list.

Mike Uremovich, Pacer's chairman and chief executive officer, commented: "While the Forbes listing is based chiefly on Pacer's financial performance, we especially welcome it because consistently strong financial performance also reflects a company's ability to consistently satisfy its customers.

"We believe being selected repeatedly for the list also validates our corporate strategy of offering a full portfolio of intermodal and logistics services, while at the same time providing integrated supply-chain solutions for customers that require such support," added Uremovich.
