ORBCOMM and Telenor Connexion Announce Agreement To Enable Global Low-cost Connectivity Solutions For M2M Communications

Offer to Include Dual-mode M2M Wireless Services That Combine GSM And Satellite Networks

STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ORBCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: ORBC), a global satellite data communications company focused on providing Machine to Machine (M2M) solutions and Telenor Connexion, a leading global connectivity provider, today announced an agreement that will enable ORBCOMM to offer an innovative satellite/GSM-based M2M solution.

The unique combination of satellite and GSM technology provides customers with a low-cost, flexible and reliable connected service. The service will be available to some of the world’s most demanding users. Customers benefiting from the solution are found in both fixed site and mobile applications.
