Johns Manville to Hold Groundbreaking Event for New Nonwoven Glass Mat Production Line in Etowah, Tennessee

Johns Manville (JM), a leading manufacturer of building and specialty products, is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate its new nonwoven glass mat production line in Etowah, Tennessee. The new state-of-the-art production line represents a major investment for the Etowah facility. When fully operational, the new line will have the capability to produce more than one billion square meters of glass mat per year. JM announced its plans to build the new production line in October 2005.
Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen and JM Chairman, President, and CEO Steve Hochhauser will deliver keynote addresses at the groundbreaking event, which will be attended by state and local government officials, and approximately 100 JM employees.

WHY: In October of 2005, Johns Manville announced its plans to
build a new nonwoven glass mat production line in Etowah,
Tennessee. The new state-of-the-art, high-speed line will be
capable of producing more than one billion square meters of
glass mat per year and underscores JM's commitment to its
roofing, wallboard, flooring, and specialty glass mat
customers. The line will be fully operational by early 2007.
