Business Wire, a global news wire service and Berkshire Hathaway company, is looking for an experienced Human Resources manager to manage a staff of six.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior VP of HR and Global Operations, the Human Resources manager will assist in the development and implementation of human resources and company policies, programs and procedures; monitor and manage the benefits programs; oversee payroll, 401k and PTO processes; manage workplace health & safety programs; and work with sales management staff on compensation plans. Additionally, the qualified candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR department including employee relations issues (working with managers on discipline/termination issues) and managing a staff of six.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Human Resources preferred
- PHR or SPHR preferred
- Three+ years experience managing or supervising a staff
- Five+ years in Human Resource experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Current knowledge of employment law and ability to handle complex workplace issues
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels in the organization
- Strong time-management and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of HRIS systems a plus
- International HR knowledge a plus
