Description
Explore the nature of online media deadlines and requirements, illustrate differences in online content versus traditional media forms, and discuss how online media is changing the way news is reported.
Speakers
- Iain Hepburn: Online editor of the Daily Record and Sunday Mail websites. Formerly a frontline news reporter, he has spent the last eight years working in digital media, on everything from mainstream press publishers to B2B news portals and cult film titles. He also helped establish the Mirror's video channel in 2007 and launched the Record's new football portal, Row-Z.co.uk, earlier this year.
- Iain Bruce: Technology journalist and digital strategy consultant. He is a multi award-winning journalist and pioneer of internet reporting with over 20 years experience as a reporter, feature writer and pundit in the international press & broadcast media.
- Alan Greenwood: As editor of scotsman.com he oversees Scotland's largest digital news publishing service. Alan joined The Scotsman Publications in 2007 following a spell as editor of the Helensburgh Advertiser. Prior to that he was multimedia editor of The Birmingham Post where he managed the launch of www.birminghampost.net.
