G-cluster Global receives the support of the investment funds of SFR and Intel to pursue its growth

G-cluster Global and SFR have implemented for a year now the first cloud-based video game service in the world. This partnership is today reinforced with SFR Développement joining Intel Capital as an investor in this round. SFR Développement is SFR Group’s investment fund in innovative start-ups. The investments in G-Cluster are done to accelerate its multi-device development and further boost sales growth.

TOKYO & PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--G-cluster provides a white-label cloud-based video and gaming service using its patented G-cluster technology – the first of its kind to be operational on such a large scale. The technology allows interactive content requiring low latency, such as high-end video games and full-length DVD films, to be distributed to a wide range of devices.

In Europe, G-cluster Global’s cloud-based video gaming service was first commercialized on SFR’s Neufbox one year ago. One million households have already benefited from the service, recently made available for Mac and PC and neufbox Evolution.
