CHICAGO--()--RovernightNetwork.com, the first company of its kind offering an alternative to expensive overnight dog care, today announced the launch of its website in the greater Chicago area. RovernightNetwork.com provides dog owners an online network of dog-friendly homes to search and review for overnight dog care.
“Our play dates are a perfect opportunity for members to check each other out; the member feedback will keep everyone honest. Members are also easily identifiable around the city by their bright orange Rovernight Network leashes.”
RovernightNetwork.com is officially welcoming members in the Chicago area. Rovernight Network is an online community of dog owners who share the responsibility of overnight dog care. Members can search other dog owners, communicate with each other, arrange overnight care and provide posted feedback.
Members are provided with a personal profile page for others to view information on their home, dog, photos, ratings, experience and most importantly, other member’s feedback. The site’s advanced search allows members to locate other members by a variety of parameters including location, size or age of dog, breed, ratings, experience, and special needs. An internal email system allows easy and private communication among members; members can also track which members they like or not in the “My Back Yard” and “My Dog House” areas.
“We’re very excited about the launch of Rovernight Network in Chicago,” said Jenna Berneck, president of Rovernight Network. “We know Chicago is a perfect market to launch this concept given how many dogs we have in the city and the amount of Chicago dog owners who travel. This is a great option for people whose only alternative for dog care is boarding, which can get expensive for long or frequent trips. This option will also remove the burden or guilt of using friends and family.”
In addition to finding other members on RovernightNetwork.com, members are encouraged to attend free local play dates hosted by Rovernight Network. “Focus group feedback stressed the importance of trusting other members and making sure dogs get along,” said Berneck. “Our play dates are a perfect opportunity for members to check each other out; the member feedback will keep everyone honest. Members are also easily identifiable around the city by their bright orange Rovernight Network leashes.” Rovernight Network is hosting a doggy play date on July 17th at Dog-a-holics in Wrigleyville. All dog owners and their dogs are welcome; space is limited so an RSVP is requested. See http://tinyurl.com/rnjuly17 for details.
The Rovernight Network concept meets two very different needs. A low cost need; there are no overnight costs. Whether a member uses four nights or four weeks a year, the monthly membership cost remains the same at less than $10/month. The other need is that the network allows dog owners an option for overnight care in a safe, dog-friendly home.
Members are also provided member-only promotions from local pet businesses. In addition, www.rovernightnetwork.com is also a resource site for traditional overnight care (boarding and sitting) and other pet services such as veterinarians, groomers, trainers, walkers, daycare and retail options.
The launch markets for Rovernight Network are Chicago and Minneapolis-St. Paul; additional markets are being considered for 2011.
