WASHINGTON--()--Ravenflow today extended the introduction of the new cloud-based version of its award-winning RAVEN software to government and system integrator users who struggle with the creation of process diagrams for application development, systems engineering, and process improvement projects.
“RAVEN Cloud offers business users a rich interactive experience, while also delivering the process diagram artifacts that they really need”
Ravenflow will be demonstrating the new software at the Gov 2.0 Expo in the Innovator’s Pavilion, Booth #12. In addition, Ravenflow’s Jim Riley will be presenting “Visualizing Business Process” at 3:45 pm on Wednesday May 26.
Available immediately through an open beta program, RAVEN Cloud is a free Web application that automatically generates error-free business process diagrams from plain English text. Created for business analysts, system analysts, and others who need to analyze and visualize their processes, users simply write their own process narratives or select from a library of template examples, and RAVEN Cloud will create a visually rich diagram in seconds.
“Given the current initiative to streamline our Government’s processes, RAVEN Cloud will help many more government users define ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ processes that can quickly be confirmed with stakeholders,” said Susan Boers, President and CEO of Ravenflow. “We believe RAVEN Cloud will be a game changer in the government arena by promoting process clarity, improving team communication, and helping prevent costly budget overruns.”
“Ravenflow is really flipping the traditional process modeling paradigm where processes can only be drawn using drag and drop methods,” said Tom Dwyer, VP of Research for BrainStorm Group and the Editorial Director of BPMInstitute.org. “RAVEN Cloud makes modeling process flows and work procedures more accessible to a broader range of business users.”
RAVEN Cloud is hosted on the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform and features a highly attractive, easy-to-use Web application interface based on Microsoft Silverlight.
“RAVEN Cloud offers business users a rich interactive experience, while also delivering the process diagram artifacts that they really need,” said Brad Becker, director of Rich Client Platforms and Tools at Microsoft Corp. “By using both Azure and Silverlight, Ravenflow can offer this new process modeling capability to people everywhere using nothing more than a Web browser.”
Based upon a patented language engine, RAVEN Cloud is the only natural language application that allows business people to describe their processes in plain English, and then automatically identify gaps and other errors while generating visual diagrams all stakeholders can understand.
The beta is free and available to everyone now at www.ravencloud.com.
