MADISON, Wis.--()--The Celebrate Children Foundation, the Madison-based nonprofit partner of Wisconsin communities working to create best-in-class early learning systems, today announced that Mary Anne Snyder, its founding president, and Jim Leonhart, its executive vice president, on April 6-8 will tour early childhood centers in six Wisconsin cities.
The Celebrate Children tour comes just a week before the national observance of “The Week of the Young Child.” The week is organized annually by the National Association for the Education of Young Children to honor young children, and thank teachers and all those who make a difference in young children’s lives.
During each of their child care center visits, Ms. Snyder and Mr. Leonhart will be joined by center representatives. Ms. Snyder and Mr. Leonhart will discuss the state’s early learning system and the foundation’s four-point plan to help improve it, unveil the foundation’s plan to raise private money in support of public-private partnerships to strengthen the system, and make a $5,000 scholarship award to an early-learning professional.
