BOWLING GREEN, Ky.--()--A grassroots driven Money Bomb for leading Kentucky senate candidate Rand Paul has raised well over $100,000 in its first few hours today. In total, Dr. Paul’s campaign has raised over $2.1 million from approximately 20,000 individual donors, with a median contribution of about $100.
A Money Bomb is a term used for one-day online fundraising drive. Scott Brown (R-MA) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) as well as the Republican National Committee have recently incorporated the tactic.
Dr. Paul has had tremendous success with several previous Money Bombs, including one held August 23, 2009 that raised $430,000.
