The Grove’s Annual Tree Lighting Celebration and Concert, Sponsored by Cadillac, Features Special Performances, Celebrity Appearances, Lighting of the 100-ft Tree and Spectacular Fireworks Finale

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Grove will host its annual tree-lighting event, “Hollywood Christmas Celebration at The Grove” on Sunday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. The festive celebration, free to the public, draws crowds from throughout Los Angeles who come to see the stunning 100-foot Christmas tree brought to life with more than 10,000 lights and 15,000 ornaments and to enjoy the array of talented performers who come to spread the holiday cheer. This year, Cadillac joins the festivities as a proud sponsor of the special celebration whose onsite presence is highlighted by the all-new 2010 Cadillac SRX midsize luxury Crossover.

This year’s show will feature a wide variety of talent including a live performance from Five for Fighting who received critical acclaim in 2001 with the Grammy-nominated song “Superman” from the Platinum album American Town. The first single “Chances” from the recently released album Slice is featured in the upcoming film The Blind Side. The Emmy-nominated, multi-talented performing troupe, Cirque du Soleil will mesmerize the crowd as will a live performance by two-time Grammy-award winner and celebrated Latin singer-songwriter, John Secada, who has sold more than 20 million albums throughout his career. Singer and actress Della Reese admired for her long-standing role as “Tess” on the hit show Touched by an Angel will also perform.
The celebration will continue with performances from the stars of Nickelodeon’s hit preschool music series, The Fresh Beat Band; brothers Christopher Massey who has appeared on the Emmy-nominated Nickelodeon series, Zoey 101 and Kyle Massey who starred in the Disney Channel hit sitcom’s That’s So Raven and Corey in the House; actor and musician Devon Werkheiser best known for his role as Ned Bigby on the Nickelodeon sitcom Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide; a toe-tapping performance by country music sensation Lonestar sure to keep the crowd on its feet and holiday music performed by The Los Angeles Gospel Choir.
A highlight of the evening will be an appearance by brothers Joel and Benji Madden, co-founders of the successful band Good Charlotte and creators of DCMA Collective clothing line, as well as actor Dean Cain, who reprised the role of superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and will soon be seen in ABC Family’s upcoming holiday movie The Dog who Saved Christmas.
