Interop® Las Vegas 2010 and Interop New York 2010 Will Be Powered by Server Technology’s Cabinet Power Distribution Units
RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Server Technology Inc. announced today that they have been chosen by Interop to be the exclusive provider of Power Distribution Units (PDUs) for the InteropNet event network at Interop® Las Vegas 2010 and Interop NY 2010. Interop Las Vegas 2010 will be held April 25th to April 29th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. For a complete schedule of all educational sessions, keynote addresses and participating exhibitors, visit www.interop.com. Server Technology’s complete line of Intelligent PDUs and Sentry Power Manager (SPM) will be on display at Server Technology’s booth at the Las Vegas and New York events.
The InteropNet network, built to support voice, video, and data for thousands of demanding attendees and sponsoring exhibitors, will be powered by Server Technology’s intelligent cabinet PDUs which provide power management via IP, branch circuit protection, per outlet power sensing (POPSTM), remote and local input current power monitoring, environmental monitoring and serial console port access.
In collaboration with leading vendors, the InteropNet is built with best of breed products that are ready to meet any network challenge. Server Technology’s PDUs provide a secure web-based GUI, logging, Syslog support, email notification, alarms and SNMP traps based on user-defined thresholds for power and environmental conditions, LDAP and LDAPS, RADIUS, TACACS+, Telnet, and out of band serial access for secure PDU access, communications and control. Environmental monitoring and control are also available along with power information such as input feed watts and system watts per square foot of the cabinet. When Server Technology Sentry PDUs are combined with the Sentry Power Manager (SPM) software application it allows an IT Manager to manage thousands of Sentry Cabinet Power Distribution Units (PDUs) in multiple locations, providing one central interface for conditions including power, temperature and humidity. Status and alarm notification are in real time and can be viewed by their status; status views include current load, power, temperature, humidity and capacity. Quick and simple drill down from a global view to the rack level makes alarm acknowledgement and management of multiple PDUs a simple process. SPM can generate trends and reports from all the intelligent PDUs over multiple data centers and thus allow a user to track power and environmental metrics over time.
Interop Las Vegas attendees will have the opportunity to take free, engineer-led tours of the InteropNet throughout the exhibition and gain a practical, behind the scenes view. Tours start at the InteropNet NOC with tours scheduled daily.
The Sentry Cabinet Distribution Units (CDUs) were the first family of cabinet-level power distribution units to provide 30-amp power distribution (110V and 208V, 208V 3-Phase) directly to the equipment cabinet while providing Branch Circuit Protection within the CDU. The Sentry CDUs are also the first power distribution units to meet the stringent requirements of the National Electric Code (NEC) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 60950-1, which is now required of all new 30-amp rack-level PDUs. Launched in 2009, Server Technology now has a line Smart Power Monitors for easily adding intelligent power monitoring to any existing server cabinet.
