SAS Sues World Programming Ltd
CARY, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, has filed a lawsuit in the High Court in London against World Programming Ltd for breach of license and copyright infringement relating to the use of SAS® Learning Edition to develop and test its World Programming System software.
“The lawsuit alleges that World Programming has used the SAS Learning Edition product for purposes of developing, testing and benchmarking its World Programming System software in breach of the terms of the SAS Learning Edition Licensing Agreement,” said John Boswell, Vice President and General Counsel at SAS.
SAS seeks damages and injunctive relief to restrain the unauthorized use of its SAS Learning Edition by World Programming and to prevent the sale and distribution of World Programming System software that has been developed and tested using SAS Learning Edition in violation of its license.
