Background
Cal/OSHA is proud to recognize its partnership with growers and their farm labor contractors to ensure the safety and health of California’s workers. This new partnership is an innovative approach to improving occupational safety and health in the agricultural industry.
Cal/OSHA will present Golden Gate Letters of Recognition to the following Farm Labor Contractors associated with the coastal Gallo Family Vineyards, who are awarded the recognition for effective implementation of their Injury and Illness Prevention Programs: Alondra Gonzalez Lara Farm Corp.; Hilario Rodriguez FLC; Sergio Alba Velazquez FLC; Servin Lopez Vineyard Management Inc; and, Viramontes Vineyard Management Co.
Golden Gate Partnership Recognition program, an entry level program, is site specific and acknowledges employers who have shown a commitment to workplace safety by establishing an effective injury and illness prevention program.
Participation in Cal/OSHA Consultation partnership programs provides benefits that include a reduction in injuries and illnesses, lower workers’ compensation costs, higher quality and productivity, as well as statewide recognition as a quality employer.
