Daticon EED Adds Bloomberg Email Processing to Discovery Partner
Producing data for electronic data discovery from Bloomberg’s real-time financial services communication platform made easier and safer than ever before.
KIRKLAND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Daticon Electronic Evidence Discovery Inc. (www.daticon-eed.com), a leading international provider of eDiscovery services, today announced that its Discovery Partner hosted and integrated review platform is now capable of natively processing information from the Bloomberg Email system. With Discovery Partner, financial services companies involved in litigation can now process Bloomberg files along with their other electronically stored information (ESI) in order to comply with court orders and to reduce the time, expense and risk of conducting eDiscovery.
“Bloomberg maintains the fastest growing information network for the financial services industry in the world, and its global membership uses the company’s online and mobile communications services to share information with each other in real time,” said Tom Haug, president of Daticon EED. “This data is formatted differently and therefore very difficult to produce in response to litigation. We are proud to offer our clients this new enhancement to Discovery Partner so they can easily process and produce electronic evidence in compliance with court orders.”
The file formats for the Bloomberg Email service are different than other communications services such as Microsoft™ Outlook® or Lotus Notes®. Bloomberg messages typically consist of a collection of files. As a result, very few eDiscovery providers have the ability to process this data.
The Bloomberg data processor in Discovery Partner is compatible with Bloomberg Email v1.6 or later, including the following formats:
- Instant Bloomberg (IB -- instant messaging between Bloomberg users)
- Bmail (email sent between Bloomberg users)
- Internet Mail (Bloomberg email sent to outside email addresses and vice versa)
- Bloomberg on BlackBerry®
- Bloomberg on iPhone
- Bloomberg on Windows Mobile
Discovery Partner is also capable of processing files from Lotus Notes, Outlook email and a wide range of other file types. Daticon EED also offers complete paper discovery services; images of documents are stored in Discovery Partner along with the rest of the ESI for a case. This comprehensive eDiscovery suite provides clients the ability to keep all of the evidence for a case in one repository, ensuring that the chain of evidence remains unbroken, and eliminating the cost and risk of migrating data between platforms.
