LOS ANGELES--()--MOD: Matters On Design, presented by Lincoln, a new program which aims to bring to the forefront the two elements essential in all great design: style and technology. Along with the Lincoln vehicle line up, including the all new 2010 Lincoln MKT, Hachette Filipacchi Media (HFM), publishers of ELLE Decor and Metropolitan Home magazines, will explore the world of design and divulge some of its most creative forces.

Featured designers include: Jeff Andrews (one of LA’s most exciting and in-demand interior designers), Zoltan E. Pali (Architect and founder of award winning design SPF:architects), Michaela Scherrer, (interior designer inspired by clean lines of Japanese design, her work has been featured in many books and publications), Marjorie Skouras (in addition to her interior design work she has a line of luxury home products and lighting, hailed as one of the most influential designers in America by Metropolitan Home), Lincoln Designer Tyler Blake (Design manager at Ford Motor Company's Advanced Strategic Design studio in Irvine, CA. His team's latest work is showcased in the Lincoln C concept) and Metropolitan Home’s Samantha Nestor (published design author and columnist Samantha is a regular on the lecture circuit). MOD, proceeding over the course of one day at The Grove in Los Angeles will encompass the following: panel discussions with design luminaries, an innovative design exhibit showcasing materials / merchandise that use the latest technologies, an interactive lounge highlighting the sleek and unique Lincoln MKT, as well as an exclusive design cocktail party.

Designers and MOD event organizers will announce MOD: Matters on Design and introduce plans for future MOD events around the country.

The Shape of Modern Design (Morning panel 11:15 am – 12:00pm)

Designers in attendance will be; Jeff Andrews,Tyler Blake, Marjorie Skouras and Chad Rogers of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing, who will be discussing the current aesthetics, movements, and concepts that represent design today.

Design and Technology: Interconnected & Inseparable (Afternoon panel 3:00pm – 4:00pm)

Designers in attendance will be: Tyler Blake, Zoltan E. Pali, and Michaela Scherrer, who will be discussing how changes in technology and innovations with materials drive an idea or work, and what some of the most exciting design-related technological advances are—whether in manufacturing, communication, installation, production of ease, etc.

Both panel discussions will be moderated by Metropolitan Home’s Samantha Nestor.

Private celebrity cocktail event (6pm – 8pm) Hosted by actress and designer Ali Landry

Celebrities and designers will come together at this private celebration to toast design!
