Research and Markets: Polypropylene World Trade Review of 2008
DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/1b3990/polypropylene_worl) has announced the addition of International Trader Publications, Inc.'s new report "Polypropylene World Trade Review of 2008" to their offering.
Polypropylene World Trade Review of 2008 is a comprehensive study of global trade in 2008 in polypropylene homopolymer in primary forms. The study is developed from import and export statistics from 40 countries. Because of the large number of countries included, it is estimated that 80%-90% of the world's trade is represented.
The 120 page review analyzes global trade on several levels, using numerous tables and graphs.
The total tonnage of product that physically moved around the globe as trade between countries is measured by the ITP Indicator. This is the sum of imports into all countries, which, as each import has a corresponding export, is equal to the sum of exports from all countries. Because polypropylene is widely traded, the ITP Indicator is also a unique gauge of global demand growth because, as demand increases or decreases, it is generally reflected in an increase or decrease in global trade.
Each region's trade is analyzed in terms of its intra-regional trade (trade between countries within the region), total net imports (from other regions) and total net exports (to other regions), with percentage changes versus the prior year. Each region's trade is further analyzed to show the breakdown by region of import sources and export destinations, with percentage changes. The regions covered are Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Each country's trade is analyzed in terms its trading partners, their rank by volume and the percentage change from the prior year. Graphs show monthly import and/or export volume and average prices over the last five years. Quantities are in metric ton; average prices in US dollars.
Included as part of the review are three supplements that are useful in understanding global trade.
- World Trade Matrix for Polypropylene for 2008 - these are grids that show import and export volumes for virtually every country worldwide.
- Ten Year History of Regional Trade Flows for Polypropylene - show trade flows between regions from 1999 to 2008 and clarify long-term trends.
