RBS Hires William O’Donnell as Head of US Treasury Strategy

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RBS today announced that William T. O’Donnell has re-joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of US Treasury Strategy within its Global Banking and Markets (GBM) division. William will be based in Stamford, CT. and will report to John Richards, Head of Markets Strategy for GBM Americas

William joins the firm after five years at UBS, where he was most recently Managing Director and Head of US Interest Rate Research and Strategy for the firm’s investment banking division, overseeing a six-person team covering US governments, mortgages, agencies and derivatives. He and his team were named to Institutional Investor magazine’s most recent All-America Team in the governments, agencies, derivatives and general strategy categories. Previously he was a senior rates salesperson covering a wide range of institutional accounts. Prior to joining UBS, he had a 20-year career at RBS Greenwich Capital, now known as RBS Securities Inc., and was a Managing Director in USD Rates Sales.

He holds a BA in Economics and History from Colby College.
