RBS Hires Eugene Rigo as Two-, Three-Year Treasury Trader for US Primary Dealership Desk

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RBS today announced that Eugene Rigo has joined the firm as Managing Director on the US Primary Dealership desk, with responsibility for trading two-year and three-year treasuries. Rigo will be based in Stamford, CT. and will report to Richard Volpe and Rishi Shah, Co-heads of US Dollar Rates within the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) division.

“Gene is a seasoned market veteran with great customer relationships,” said Volpe. “Hiring a trader of Gene’s caliber will be a great addition to our US Dollar Rates franchise.”

Rigo joins the firm after a 12-year career at UBS, where he was most recently Executive Director, responsible for trading zero- to three-year treasury coupons. Prior to joining UBS, he worked as a two- and three-year treasury trader at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) for seven years and at The Bank of New York for five years.

Rigo holds a BA in Business Administration from Villanova University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
