Signal Hill Adds Three Senior Investment Bankers

BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Signal Hill Capital Group LLC, a specialty investment banking, research and institutional brokerage firm, announced today that it has expanded its Investment Banking team through the additions of Senior Investment Bankers J. Adam Hitt, Managing Director; Jeffrey C. Nahley, Managing Director; and Justin Balciunas, Director. Mr. Hitt has over 25 years of investment banking experience, primarily in M&A and Consumer and Business Services; Mr. Nahley has over 20 years experience in Healthcare, Business Services and Government Outsourcing; and Mr. Balciunas has over 12 years of investment banking experience, primarily focused in the education, media, real estate, and lodging sectors.

Prior to joining Signal Hill, Mr. Hitt served as the Head of Business Services and was a senior M&A banker with Deutsche Bank. Previously he was director of cross-border M&A for Morgan Stanley in London and was a Managing Director with Alex. Brown & Sons. Mr. Hitt graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he also was named a Benjamin Franklin Scholar.

Prior to joining Signal Hill, Mr. Nahley was a Founder, Board Member and Head of the Investment Banking Group with Avondale Partners, LLC since the firm’s inception in 2001. Mr. Nahley has completed more than 100 transactions and engagements during the course of his career concentrated in the Business Services, Government Outsourcing and Healthcare sectors. Mr. Nahley received his BA from Middlebury College in 1986 and an MBA from Columbia Business School in 1991.

Prior to joining Signal Hill, Mr. Balciunas was a Director at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. in the Real Estate Investment Banking group in New York, New York. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he was a Vice President at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in the Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging Investment Banking group in New York, New York. He was previously one of the initial founding partners at Signal Hill, focusing on education, media, and technology investment banking clients. He began his career in investment banking at Alex. Brown & Sons. He earned both his BS (cum laude) and MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
