ViroStatics’ Dr. Franco Lori to Present During 2009 BIO International Convention in Atlanta

SASSARI, Italy & PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dr. Franco Lori, Chief Executive Officer of ViroStatics, will present a Company Overview during the 2009 BIO International Convention at 9:20 AM on Wednesday, 20 May, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Dr. Lori will discuss the Company's recent advancements in drug discovery and development in the areas of HIV/AIDS and cancer as well as the plans to commercialize ViroStatics’ proprietary biomarker assays.

Dr. Lori will review the company’s successes in discovering and developing a new class of drugs known as Anti-Viral Hyper-Activation Limiting Therapeutics (AV-HALT) that have been designed not only to suppress viral replication but also to preserve the immune system from chronic damage.
