Independent Oracle Users Group Addresses Top Issues on Oracle Technologies at COLLABORATE 09

COLLABORATE 09 – IOUG Forum

CHICAGO--()--Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG) is again hosting its annual educational event COLLABORATE 09: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community, May 3-7 in Orlando, FL, with third-year co-hosts the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and the Quest International Users Group (Quest). The event is recognized as one of the largest and most comprehensive Oracle-based user conferences, and COLLABORATE provides a central location for education and networking with more than 7,500 professionals in the greater Oracle community.

More than 425 customer- and expert-led sessions, informal events, roundtables, Oracle presentations and 250 solution-provider insights offer customers tried and true practices, approaches and solutions to integrate into their current and future strategies. “While content will span a number of concentrations and skill levels, key content focuses for this year will include Oracle database 11g, 10g, BI, data warehousing, development, disaster recovery, Essbase, grid computing, high availability, migration, RAC, security, SOA, tuning, and much more,” said Peter Smith, IOUG director of education.

Content specifically aligns with helping companies optimize their business processes, create efficiencies and improve productivity through their Oracle technology investments. “More than any other time, we need to stay a step ahead, we need to think creatively, and we need to find new and leading ways to do business─at lower costs and with greater efficiency. The IOUG Forum offers new tracks specific to newly-acquired Oracle customers, including Hyperion, Stellent and BEA. Tailored conference-within-a-conference programming will specifically address these audiences’ core needs and offer opportunity for the broader Oracle community to learn about these additions to the Oracle market.

Stellent programming will include more than 30 sessions focused on content management, including a keynote speech by Mark Heindselman who will present Six Use Cases at Emerson Process Management and their ROI. Other content management highlights include:

Other IOUG Forum benefits include: an opening keynote address from Charles E.
