CasaTools Ships CasaTunes XLe and XLe Music Server

FT. COLLINS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CasaTools, a leader in whole house audio systems, today announced the immediate availability of the CasaTunes XLe and the CasaTunes XLe Music Server products. Designed for larger homes, multi-home dwellings and offices, the CasaTunes XLe PCI-express card plugs into a PC and includes a separate expansion box that together can control music in up to 12 rooms of a home. Scalable, CasaTunes XLe solutions can support up to four expansion boxes for up to 48 rooms of music. Ideal for system integrators and custom installers, the CasaTunes XLe and CasaTunes XLe Music Server are the cornerstone of a whole house music solution.

CasaTunes XLe includes the CasaTunes software, an advanced DVD-audio quality PCI-e sound card with a built in matrix switch and an expansion box. To complete the installation, add speakers and one or more multi-channel amplifiers, such as the CasaTunes XLa, and the CasaTunes Keypads, which will be available next month.

The CasaTunes XLe Music Server includes the music server PC and comes pre-installed with the CasaTunes XLe PCI-e card, expansion box, CasaTunes software, 250GB hard drive and a built-in touch screen.

Both solutions include five internal and four external music sources to choose from. Each internal music source is capable of playing music from iTunes Plus, Windows Media, an iPod, iTouch, iPhone and SHOUTcast Internet Radio. The external sources can be used to listen to AM/FM tuners, XM or Sirius satellite radios. The CasaTunes XLe offers built-in triggers for Home Theater, doorbell and whole house paging integration as well as infrared control of external sources.
