EDISON, N.J.--()--netForensics, Inc., a leader in the Information Security Management market, today announced that it has completed an agreement to acquire the assets of High Tower Software, a privately held California-based security software company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“The compliance driver has changed the buyer profile, which is now extended to organizations that have smaller security staffs and more-limited system support capabilities. For these buyers, predefined functions and ease of deployment and support are valued over advanced function and extensive customization.”
Established in 1999 with technology originally developed at NASA, High Tower Software provides best-in-class Security Information and Event Management appliances for the mid-market. High Tower’s Cinxi SIEM appliances provide advanced network defense intelligence and comprehensive log management to improve network security and satisfy the growing number of regulatory compliance requirements. High Tower solutions deliver a unified security console, streamline security operations, improve attack identification, and speed incident response.
The addition of High Tower’s assets gives netForensics, and their MSSP partners, the market presence and capabilities to manage the entire security compliance lifecycle - from log management to a complete security operations center - for all sized organizations, from the smallest departmental installation to the largest enterprise. Integration initiatives between the two products lines support the ability to grow installations from log management up through the comprehensive security compliance solution nFX SIM One.
The acquisition comes on the heels of one of the most successful quarters in netForensic’s history. The company recently surpassed its 500th customer mark, reported a 94% renewal rate and received vendor accreditation from the MSPAlliance.
“Historically many customers have had to choose between log management and security information and event management solutions. Now customers have a reliable growth path, giving them the ability to start their security compliance initiatives with log management and progress them as their company resources and needs dictate, to real-time threat monitoring and then to a complete SIEM-based security operations center,” said Dale Cline, President and CEO of netForensics. “This acquisition represents a key milestone in the SIEM market giving mid-market customers a proven, enterprise-class alternative to the traditional log management offerings.”
According to Gartner, “The compliance driver has changed the buyer profile, which is now extended to organizations that have smaller security staffs and more-limited system support capabilities. For these buyers, predefined functions and ease of deployment and support are valued over advanced function and extensive customization.”1 With the acquisition of High Tower’s Cinxi product appliances, netForensics is positioned to capitalize on the largest scale enterprises and MSSPs as well as the log management and simplified security intelligence markets.
netForensics will be offering the High Tower portfolio immediately.
