The 33,000 Limited Liability Companies and the 400 Limited Liability Partnerships in Nebraska Now Have the Convenience of Filing Reports Online with the Secretary of State’s Office
LINCOLN, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--For the first time certain business entities will be able to file required reports online with the Nebraska Secretary of State’s Office at http://www.Nebraska.gov.
Effective Jan. 5, the office started accepting online filings of biennial reports of limited liability companies and annual reports of limited liability partnerships. Secure payments for the online filings may be made by credit card or electronic check.
“Businesses should enjoy the convenience and ease of filing online,” said Secretary of State John Gale.
Not only does the new service provide additional efficiencies for businesses, but with approximately 33,000 limited liability companies and 400 limited liability partnerships in Nebraska, it also has the potential to significantly ease the paperwork handled by the Secretary of State’s Office
“The plan is to expand the type of reports that can be filed online in future years,” said Gale.
The business entity reports are used for the office’s database so the public has updated information on businesses.
The new online filing capability is the result of cooperation between Gale’s office and Nebraska Interactive, which manages the state’s Web site.
