Rockefeller Group International Completes First Implementation Phase of Skire Unifier Solution
Solution Standardizes Project Management Processes Among Dispersed Development and Construction Project Teams
MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Skire, Inc. (www.skire.com), the leading provider of capital program, integrated workplace and project portfolio management software, today announced that the Rockefeller Group Development Corporation (RGDC), a national owner, developer and manager of prestigious commercial real estate properties, and a subsidiary of Rockefeller Group International, Inc. (RGI), has completed its first phase of Skire Unifier™ implementation. The implementation will create the foundation for standardizing management and reporting processes between project teams dispersed between the firm's New York City headquarters and its office locations in New Jersey, California, Florida and Arizona. Working with Unifier, project teams will be able to gain instant visibility into project information, and headquarters staff will have comprehensive insight into all projects, as well as all underlying project detail.
RGDC’s rapid growth and partnership-based business model made it increasingly necessary to standardize processes and reporting across its locations. The firm chose Unifier as part of an overall IT strategy designed to incorporate best practices and move towards streamlined "paperless" processes. During this first implementation phase, RGDC transitioned key project management tasks from manual spreadsheets and word-processing documents into Unifier. Initially, RFIs, contracts, change orders, invoices and meeting minutes are being managed through the Unifier platform. The solution was deployed nationwide in 10 weeks, and is being used by members of the company's development project management, construction project management and project accounting teams.
“Skire Unifier provides a key element of our strategy to standardize project management operations while retaining the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of partners and project types,” said Stephen Carroll, chief information officer and vice president of Rockefeller Group International, Inc. "We expect Unifier to help us integrate best practices across all project management functions, which will pay off in greater efficiency and agility for the company."
In succeeding implementation phases, RGI plans to integrate Unifier with its ERP system's accounts payable module, as well as add features such as the Unifier Funding module to track allocation and consumption across funding sources, and Project Gates to automate and support RGI’s phase gate methodologies.
“We are pleased to be chosen by RGI as an essential element of its overarching strategy and congratulate the company on achieving this critical implementation milestone,” said George Haddad, vice president of product management for Skire. “RGI’s leadership in instilling best practices is sure to be rewarded with increased efficiency, cost control, and even more successful partnerships."
