General Star Introduces New Architects & Engineers Program
STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--General Star Management Company is pleased to announce the launch of its Architects and Engineers (A&E) liability program, which will be available in all states. The program will be offered through PCM Services, LLC, New York, NY, the sole program administrator for this new national facility.
A new policy form has been developed specifically for this program. It provides competitive coverage for traditional A&E exposures, as well as a number of automatic enhancements that address modern business risks faced by professionals, such as privacy and information security. These additional protections have generally been unavailable in a single professional policy.
The program is written on a primary basis and targeted at small to mid-size firms with receipts up to $10,000,000. Worldwide coverage is included, with limits of up to $5,000,000 available.
Coverage will be written by General Star Indemnity Company or General Star National Insurance Company. Both companies are rated A++ (Superior) by A.M. Best Company and carry an AAA Insurance Financial Strength Rating from Standard & Poor's Corporation. Coverage will be written on a non-admitted basis in all states.
“Technology is rapidly changing the way in which architects and engineers do business, requiring innovative liability insurance solutions for the risks that accompany these changes. We are excited about our ability to respond to this opportunity and deliver coverage previously confined to technology firms,” said Scott Ginsberg, Global A&E Product Leader for General Star.
In commenting further upon the new program, Patricia Roberts, President and CEO of General Star, stated that “the launch of our Architects and Engineers facility is the latest example of our commitment to innovative leadership in the professional liability marketplace.”
