ARCADIS Establishes Program Management Construction Management Division; Names Dahill as President of New U.S. Division
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consulting and engineering company, today announced that it has created a new U.S. division – Program Management / Construction Management (PMCM) – to better serve its existing client base and new clients. PMCM had operated under the ARCADIS Infrastructure division.
“Our goals are to position the new division and the ARCADIS brand as a leader in the marketplace and to significantly expand our overall operations by growing the PMCM division,” said Steve Blake, president and CEO of ARCADIS in the U.S. “I’m confident that, with our greater focus on PMCM services, ARCADIS is well positioned to be an even more dominant firm in our industry.”
Blake added that the PMCM division will work closely with the ARCADIS Infrastructure and Environment divisions to pursue and execute work, with the intent of providing a complete service offering to clients. This approach will provide numerous benefits, including growth opportunities for ARCADIS employees.
ARCADIS also announced that Chuck Dahill, former CEO of PinnacleOne, a wholly owned subsidiary of ARCADIS, has been named president of the PMCM division. He will report to Blake.
“After previously leading the PinnacleOne organization for more than a decade, I’m thrilled to be heading up this new division,” said Dahill, a veteran of the PMCM industry. “In spite of the struggling economy, there are tremendous growth opportunities for this division. I intend to make the most of those opportunities to benefit our existing and future clients.”
PinnacleOne, before becoming an ARCADIS company, brought a large amount of PMCM experience and expertise to company operations following their acquisition. ARCADIS looks forward to using that experience, in addition to the substantial PMCM operations already in place, in order to develop and promote the new division.
The new PMCM division will include PinnacleOne as well as the employees of the former CDG and LZA. who were acquired previously. Together the three firms bring a large amount of PMCM expertise to the marketplace. The ARCADIS push to become a preferred provider of PMCM services was strengthened in 2004 with the acquisition of Construction Dynamics Group and its value engineering subsidiary, LZA, based in Columbia, Maryland. The further acquisition of Tempe, Arizona-based PinnacleOne in 2006 put ARCADIS, previously little known in the PMCM industry, on the map as a major PMCM provider. Combined, CDG, LZA and PinnacleOne have over 28 years of experience providing expert advice and strategic solutions to public and private clients at virtually every stage of the construction process. More than 15,000 successfully completed projects (and even more satisfied clients) with a combined value of more than $30 billion in construction costs.
ARCADIS is an international company providing consultancy, engineering and management services in infrastructure, environment and buildings, to enhance mobility, sustainability and quality of life. ARCADIS develops, designs, implements, maintains and operates projects for companies and governments. With more than 13,500 employees and more than $2 billion in gross revenue, the company has an extensive international network that is supported by strong local market positions.
