Sun-Times News Group Advertising Veteran Mike Sperling Named Pioneer Press Vice President of Advertising
GLENVIEW, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Sun-Times News Group, the principal operating subsidiary of Sun-Times Media Group, Inc. (OTCBB:SUTM), today announced it has promoted Michael Sperling to Vice President of Advertising for the Pioneer Press effective immediately.
Mr. Sperling, 38, most recently had been Senior Director, Automotive and Builder Advertising for the Sun-Times News Group, leading print and online sales strategy for Today’s New Homes, the Sun-Times News Group’s vibrant, comprehensive real estate print publication launched in June, in addition to Mr. Sperling’s automotive sales management duties.
In his new role, Mr. Sperling will spearhead online and print sales initiatives for the Pioneer Press’s multiple newspaper titles and Web sites serving Chicago’s North Shore and northwest suburbs, as well as the Lake County News-Sun and The Doings in the western suburbs.

Mr. Sperling joined the company in 1995. He has held a variety of sales and sales management roles, including as a Local Sales Representative for the Chicago Sun-Times; National Sales Representative in New York; West Group Sales Manager in Oak Park and Sun-Times News Group Director of Automotive Advertising. Mr. Sperling is a graduate of Bradley University and resides with his family in Northbrook, Illinois.
