Larry Allen Appointed Office Principal in Baker’s Greensboro Office

GREENSBORO, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Michael Baker Engineering, Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE Alternext US:BKR) announced today that Larry J. Allen, P.E., has been appointed assistant vice president and office principal for Baker’s Greensboro, North Carolina, office. He will be responsible for operations management, office administration, financial management, project oversight and business development for all of Baker's activities in Greensboro.

Allen joined Baker in 1997 and has served as project manager or project engineer on numerous complex aviation, roadway, civil and site design projects involving multiple disciplines and accelerated schedules requiring strict adherence to project schedules and budgets. In particular, he has been closely associated with the Piedmont Triad International Airport’s development program, including the construction of a hub for FedEx, a new 9,000-foot runway, highway relocation and reconfiguration of access roads to the airport terminal area.

Allen is a professional engineer registered in North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
