Competition Authority Approves Peab Planned Acquisition of Peab Industri
STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News:
The Competition Authority in Sweden has decided to leave Peab AB's (publ) (“Peab”) planned acquisition of Peab Industri AB (publ) (“Peab Industri”) without action. This means that the Competition Authority approves the merger, which could occur if Peab’s offer to acquire all shares and convertible Peab Industri is implemented. Competition authorities in Norway and Finland have provided the relevant approvals. Peab’s offer was conditional on, inter alia, that Peab received permission from Competition Authorities in order Peab acceptable time and on the Peab acceptable terms. This condition is now satisfied. Nomination period for the offer runs until the end of December 3, 2008 and accounting is expected to begin around 16 December. Peab reserves the right to extend the application period, as well as to defer the date for reporting of grants.
