Rohm and Haas Participates in Plast Eurasia İstanbul 2008 Fair

ISTANBUL, Turkey--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rohm and Haas Company (NYSE:ROH), a leading producer of specialty materials, currently at the center of the attention for the investments it is making in Turkey, will be participating at the Plast Eurasia 2008 in Istanbul later this week. Rohm and Haas opened an acrylic impact modifiers and processing aids facility in the northwest Turkish town of Gebze in October of this year.

Rohm and Haas’s Gebze plant is dedicated to the production of new, innovative, cost-effective products to meet the demands of the Turkish market. This plant will produce a total of 40,000 metric tons a year of plastics additives to be used in many industries like building and construction, packaging and many other industries to enhance the quality of end products.

Rohm and Haas will have a stand at the Plast Eurasia Istanbul 2008 Fair to be held at TÜYAP from November 27 to 30, 2008. The company’s latest innovations for plastics additives will be the point of attraction for visitors at the fair, including recently introduced products such as the ADVAPAK™ NEO range of lead-free stabilizers for PVC pipes, PARALOID™ SureCel™ foam cell stabilizer for cellular PVC, and PARALOID™ K-128, the company’s latest acrylic processing aid for rigid PVC extrusion. PARALOID™ KM-1, the next-generation acrylic impact modifier that brings improved weatherability to vinyl building applications, will also be featured.
