JHA Hires Leo Tinkham as Vice President, Marketing and Business Development
PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JHA, a subsidiary of Gen Re LifeHealth, is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Leo D. Tinkham as Vice President, Marketing and Business Development. In this role, Tinkham will lead JHA’s marketing activities and be involved in the development and delivery of value-added services for reinsurance clients.

Most recently, Tinkham worked as an independent underwriting and marketing consultant to the U.S. group insurance industry. He has held marketing positions at Aetna, where he led development of association, worksite, and integrated health-disability products, and at Unum, where he led market/product development for the California and Large Employer market segments. He began his career as a medical and disability claim specialist at Union Mutual in 1984, eventually becoming Manager of Training and Development. He also worked at Cigna Group Insurance as Second Vice President of Central Underwriting and at The PMA Insurance Group where he started up a group disability business. He earned his BA from Bowdoin College and his MBA from the University of Southern Maine, and holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.
